This box converts normal 120 volt AC house current to 11+ volts DC current. It handles 85 amps continuous power. The cost of this unit is much lower than a store bought model. It can also be set-up to put out 23 volts DC. Inside, there is a 1 KVA step down transformer and a 100amp continuous/1500amp peak bridge rectifier. The rectifier is mounted to a heatsink. The heatsink is mounted to the inside of the box and the fan on the outside of the box is fastened to the heatsink. 4 AWG wire comes off of the rectifier and out of the box. I know that 85 amps is overkill, but I really didn't want to take a chance on this burning up. I have had it up to 75 amps with a 25 plate system.
